As Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka handed over appointment letters to 92 applicants for Junior Assistants and Computer Operators’ posts in Telangana Northern Electricity Distribution Company and 20 to Telangana Electricity Supply Company, he gave an emotive speech standing opposite the State Secretariat on the statue of Rajiv Gandhi.
Beginning with an attack on the opposition party, assisted deputy CM Vikramarka began by calling a political party “born on lies” whose presence in power for the last decade had given the people in the state the impression that the state is moving forward. He emphasized that in contrast to the previous government, which was unable to handle finances and was delaying salaries, the public government has been successful in ensuring that employees receive their salaries on the first day of every month. He proudly emphasized that within one year of coming to power, the Congress government had issued job appointment letters to 56,000 people, thereby overcoming the problem of unemployment.
The Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka made it clear that the acts of the public government, particularly in the health sector, are valid. He referred to the Raju Arogyasri scheme that was introduced by Congress for the downtrodden people in corporate medical treatment. The Praja government has increased it from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 10 lakh and offered more healthy facilities to the people of the state.
Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka had announced that Praja government of Congress would come up with free travel for women in RTC buses, and he appealed to the citizens to take women by bus and check personally whether free journey was being given to them in the state in line with the six guarantees given by the Congress Party.
Vikramarka was addressing a gathering and told them, “The Praja government deposited Rs 22,000 crore into farmers accounts for loan waiver.”. It also ensured depositing Rs 7,624 crore in one day for welfare of farmers. He added that the government had promised insurance for all arable lands and had thus set aside Rs 8,400 crore for the scheme that would start from January 26. Besides, it was offering a bonus of Rs 500 per quintal on producing the finest rice, while the diet charges had been hiked by 40% in support of welfare for students.
Furthering his message on governance, Deputy CM Vikramarka said that Ministers in the public government are working for the betterment of the state and working 18 hours a day to transform Telangana. He dismissed opposition claims saying the public government is fulfilling all promises made to the people, from giving three acres of land to one job in every household to providing irrigation facilities.”.
He praised Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Minister Sridhar Babu for scouting the opportunity to bring in Rs 1 lakh crore of investments to Telangana with his visit to Davos, which always provided previous trips with Rs 46,000 crore. He further assured public funds that Deputy CM Vikramarka would utilize it judiciously and in the development arena.
Deputy CM Vikramarka said in his speech that the Telangana power department had been meeting the peak electricity demands of the State. Now, the BRS government plans to supply 22,448 MW of electricity by 2029-30 and 31,809 MW by 2034-35. The Deputy CM has also attacked the BRS government for not having a New Energy Policy and has given the public an assurance that the Congress government will ensure 40,000 MW of clean and green energy by 2035.
Besides, the Deputy CM instructed to pay the pending DA to the workers of the electricity department so that the workers were relieved from their financial problems.
