Hyderabad: In a big step toward more transparency and efficiency, Revenue, Housing, Information, and Public Relations Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy on Thursday launched the Indiramma Indlu grievance module at the Secretariat. The grievance module introduced by the Indiramma Housing Scheme will ensure a dedicated forum for grievance redressal by beneficiaries and solve grievances in time.
At the launch, Minister Srinivasa Reddy said, “The grievance portal indirammaindlu.telangana.gov.in is a gateway through which citizens can lodge grievances with regard to discrepancies in the beneficiary selection process. The complainant’s mobile phone will be directly sent an update about the status of his complaint so that accountability is met with action in time.”
Rationalized Grievance Redressal
The Minister elaborated that complaints filed through this portal will go to the respective departmental officers. In rural areas, it will be sent to the Mandal Parishad Development Officers and in urban areas, Municipal Commissioners would be dealing with the grievance redressal processes. That way, there would be no need for middlemen and proper transparency would be ensured in the allotment of Indiramma Houses.
Follow-up on Application Clearances
He highlighted the progress of the scheme. “95 percent of applications under the Indiramma Indlu scheme have been reviewed in 32 districts, excluding Hyderabad. In Greater Hyderabad, 88 percent of applications have been processed as of January 8,” he said. He instructed officials to expedite the beneficiary selection process and give priority to eligible applicants.
Phased Housing Construction
The minister explained that housing construction under the scheme will be in phases. Firstly, people who already have residential land will have houses constructed for them. Secondly, those who don’t have residential land will also have the opportunity to have houses as the government will allocate this land besides constructing the houses.
Vulnerable groups such as disabled persons, single women, orphans, widows, transgender people., and sanitation workers will be prioritized. Unlike previous contracts, the new government has empowered beneficiaries to take responsibility in constructing their homes. Beneficiaries can build houses up to 400 square feet according to their preference and convenience.

Commitment towards Housing for All
The Indiramma government reaffirmed the commitment of its administration towards ensuring housing for every eligible citizen, as asserted by Minister Srinivasa Reddy. “The sanctioning and construction responsibility up to the last beneficiary will be handled by our government, and this scheme is based on transparency and fairness,” he added.
Housing Special Secretary Jyoti Buddha Prakash, Housing Corporation MD VP Gautam, and other officials attended the event and vowed to support the successful implementation of the scheme.
