The state government renewed its promise to provide welfare schemes to all eligible citizens, including the distribution of ration cards and housing under the Indiramma Houses scheme. State Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy, Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao, Civil Supplies Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, and Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari explained the government’s plan for these welfare schemes in a video conference with district collectors.
Continuous Process for Ration Card
The ministers claimed that the beneficiaries would be provided with ration cards without any limitation absolutely free. Applications for a new ration card and addition/deletion of family member in the ration card would be accepted from 21 to 24 January through scheduled Gram Sabhas also along with the applications accepted at the Public Administration Service Centres.
It explained that the provisional list of ration card beneficiaries already existed based on the Caste Census (Social) Survey. It would finalize the list once it incorporated public suggestions and reviewed applications from Gram Sabhas, service centers, and existing records.
Indiramma Houses: Transparency
The state will make things more transparent and all-inclusive for the Indiramma Houses program. A list of the same shall be pasted on Gram Sabhas and also examined and sanctioned on-site during these Sabhas.
Indiramma Houses
The Ministers clarified that no beneficiary is being left behind under Indiramma Houses and even the last one would get Indiramma Houses. The district collectors are told to get accurate data without falling for opposition stories.
Relaunching of Welfare Programs
Four welfare programmes, including Rythu Bharosa and Indiramma Atmiya Bharosa, shall be launched from January 26, 2025. A beneficiary selection to these programs is based on a public feedback coming from Gram Sabhas.
What is important to note about these is as follows:
Rythu Bharosa:Farmer Assurance
All cultivable landowners would be provided, and their record of land crossed by revenue and agriculture officials.
Indiramma Atmiya Bharosa: A beneficiary must have worked for more than 20 days under the employment guarantee scheme. The financial support will be made directly to the account of women belonging to eligible families.
Works taken up under employment guarantee in 156 villages, which were integrated into municipalities lately, will come under the scheme.
Government Stand on Public Welfare
The ministers reiterated that the government will ensure that no eligible citizen is left behind. Collectors were instructed to make the application processes simpler and more transparent. Orders for the final lists of beneficiaries will be given later after public consultations and evaluations.
This robust approach reflects the commitment of the government to foster social equity and quality life for its citizens.
