
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy told the district collectors and officials to collect paddy with increased speed from notified centers. The CM said no difficulty should be inflicted on the farmers in this respect. Today, while speaking through a video conference, the CM has demanded that the procurement should be more speedy and transparent as well. Others who attended were other state ministers, Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari, and some senior officials as well.

Instruction for Officials
He gave precise instruction to avoid hitch-free proceedings :
Procurement Centers Facilities: Provide adequate availability of drinking water and shades, among other basic requirements, to farmers.
Daily Progress Reports: Prepare daily reports on the activities of procurement to monitor the progress.
Transport Arrangements: Make adequate lorries to send paddy to the rice mills in a prompt manner.
Strict Vigilance: Keep close watch over the border districts so that no farmer from other states misuses the bonus scheme.
Farmers’ Festival and Awareness Drive
The CM announced a Farmers’ Festival in Mahabubnagar on November 30. An agricultural exhibition will be conducted from November 28-30, including modern farming techniques, mechanization, and success stories of model farmers. He sought coordination of district collectors to ensure the event’s success.
Action Against Malpractice
Revanth Reddy cautioned millers against malpractices and instructed strict action against the perpetrators. He requested officials to depute additional staff for quicker procurement and to create awareness among them of the government schemes meant for farmers.
The Chief Minister assured the paddy yield at 66 lakh acres and another 20 lakh acres in the fields that the government will insist on fair prices for all crops. The CM has promised to intervene in case prices at market go below the remunerative price.
