Chief Minister Revanth Reddy conducted a high-level review meeting with the education department officials to review the progress of the Young India Residential Schools scheme. During the meeting, site acquisition, infrastructure development, and timely implementation were highlighted in an effort to bring these institutions up and running across Telangana.
Expediting Site Acquisition and Approvals
During the review, the Chief Minister called for expediting site acquisition for the proposed residential schools, which are to be established in each constituency. He requested officials to expedite the process so that it is done within the time frame earmarked in 100 constituencies.
To avoid delays, CM Reddy directed the concerned authorities to secure all clearance needed for acquired land. He stressed that if a satisfactory location could not be identified in an area, alternative locations should be discovered immediately to maintain the project.
Role of Collectors in Site Selection
District Collectors were assigned the crucial task of identifying and deciding locations for the schools. The Chief Minister requested them to visit the areas on the ground and submit a detailed report within one week’s time. He requested them to look at accessible and well-connected locations so that students get the most optimal learning environment.
Fast-Tracking Construction and Infrastructure Development
Referring to the time constraint of the project, CM Reddy directed the construction work to be initiated immediately in those constituencies where the land had already been purchased. He issued a challenge to achieve 100% completion of fully operational schools in 105 constituencies within the next two years.
The Chief Minister also emphasized robust infrastructure, including up-to-date classrooms, hostels, libraries, and sports areas. He promised that proper funding would be ensured by the government so as to reach a high level of quality in schools for students.
Strengthening Veeranari Chakali Ailamma Women’s University
Aside from the residential schools, CM Reddy visited Veeranari Chakali Ailamma Women’s University to inspect the development. He stressed the need to improve its infrastructure so it could become one of the premier institutions for women’s education.
He directed officials to ensure the university is equipped with essential facilities such as academic blocks, a playground, hostels, and advanced research centers. For this purpose, the government committed to providing required financial support to establish the university as an institute of scholastic excellence.
Transforming Telangana’s Education Scenario
Through these pre-emptive measures, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will revolutionize the education sector in Telangana. The swift implementation of the Young India Residential Schools program and the infrastructure development at key institutions demonstrate the seriousness of the government in providing quality education to everyone.
By ensuring right coordination between the officials and the district Collectors, the administration will be in a position to achieve its lofty educational goals, paving the way for a more prosperous future of the students of the state.
