Hyderabad-based Skyroot Aerospace has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Telangana government to set up a private rocket manufacturing, integration, and testing unit in the state, marking a major step forward for India’s private space sector. The MoU was signed in **Davos**, where Chief Minister **A. Revanth Reddy** and Minister **Sridhar Babu** represented the government.
Under the MoU, Skyroot Aerospace is committing an investment of **₹500 crores** in the new facility. The new facility will further establish Telangana as one of the prime leaders in the country in the domain of space technology. This unit is a vital step for the private sector for its participation and innovation in the exploration of space in the state.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has expressed his pleasure over the announcement and said that Hyderabad-based companies have achieved very good results in cutting-edge technology. He praised the young talent of Telangana and said that these youngsters have played an important role in making the state a hub for investment. According to Revanth Reddy, the partnership with Skyroot Aerospace reflects the vision of the government in terms of its strategic plan for the space sector, which aims to turn Hyderabad into the private space hub.
Skyroot Aerospace’s Co-Founder, **Pawan Kumar Chandana**, described himself as feeling elated in being a part of the alliance and committed support to the development of Telangana. He undertook the pledge of the role of the company in achieving “Telangana Rising” and “Hyderabad Rising” missions under the stewardship of Chief Minister.
