Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy today morning landed on Singapore with Minister Sridhar Babu as his colleague. Thousands of other high-level Telangana expatriates awaiting his arrival also welcomed him. Thousands of them were waiting on him at the airport in Singapore for the warm welcoming.
With a huge entourage, the Chief Minister entered the airport, where there was massive Telangana expatriate gathering, waving flags and hoisting up banners in praise of state leadership. The crowds were shouting out “Jai Telangana” as the delegation passed by the airport.
Important Visit with Hope
The visit aims at strengthening the international bonds of Telangana and seeking partnership opportunities with Singapore in strategic areas, such as infrastructure, information technology, and trade. Meetings involve an interaction with the senior leaders of Singapore and captains of industry. This is all in an effort to attract investments and strategic partnership deals that will be able to give a boost to the growth in the Telangana economy.
A Warm Welcome: A Testimony to Interconnectedness for Expats
That thousands of expats welcomed Chief Minister Revanth Reddy at Changi Airport showed their sense of belonging back home in the state. Speaking to Telugu News, those who came in large numbers narrated how the state has achieved much under Reddy’s regime. “We are proud that our leaders can come here, to Singapore, and we do believe this is going to see more development back in our own state,” opined Ramesh Reddy, a decade-long software engineer in Singapore.
Another NRI, Suma Krishnan, said, “The visit is a big step toward bringing Telangana on an international platform. We are hopeful of the results.”
Why International Ties Are Important
Telangana has emerged as a forward-looking state in India, building great momentum in technology, infrastructure, and welfare schemes. Singapore is one of the many steps to help Telangana establish itself as an innovation and investment-friendly state for the world.
The delegation would be visiting some of the country’s major business hubs, studying urban development projects, and talking about technology partnership opportunities. Emphasis would be on sustainable development and learning from the world-class infrastructure in Singapore for its urban setting.
Future Plans
As the delegation goes about its visits, the optimism quotient in terms of desirable results from this visit seems to be in place. The open-hearted reception by the expatriate community therefore in a manner set the tone for an auspicious visit-the fruit of pride and hopes of Telanganites sitting both at home and elsewhere in the world.
The visit further reiterates the commitment of the state government towards making Telangana a global presence and fostering the spirit of cooperation on an international scale.
