Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy inaugurated the grand Health Festival, organized by the State Medical, Health, and Family Welfare Department. The event marked a major milestone in the state’s healthcare system with the launch of 213 new ambulances. This move aims to strengthen emergency medical services across Telangana. Apart from the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, Health Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha, Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, and Chief Minister’s Advisor Vem Narender Reddy were seen attending the meeting. They attended various stalls on the state of healthcare in Telangana.
The Chief Minister also virtually opened 16 nursing colleges, 28 government-agency-affiliated healthcare colleges, and 32 transgender clinics in the state. The programs thus opened are clear examples of measures the government intends to take on improving access and education in this regard.
Improving Healthcare and Employment
While addressing, CM Revanth Reddy appreciated the Medical and Health Department for the record victories achieved lately under the leadership of Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha. The government, during the year, has created 14,000 new jobs in the healthcare sector, an unprecedented step forward in staffing health care. In fact, at a special event in LB Stadium, an appointment letter was given to 7,750 of its paramedical staff to prove the administration’s commitment towards job creation.
Facilities in public health care have also been enhanced by the Chief Minister. Under the scheme Arogya Sri, economically weaker sections are getting quality medical services as the ceiling is increased up to ₹10 lakhs. Under the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, a total of ₹835 crores was distributed by the government this year and which also created an all-time financial help to those who need.
Education and Recruitment Reforms
CM Reddy severely criticized the failures of the previous administrations, especially in education and recruitment. He said his government, for the first time in 13 years, has successfully conducted Group 1 exams. This effort led to the appointment of 563 officers overseen by Telangana Public Service Commission Chairman Mahender Reddy.
He also removed politically motivated appointees at the Public Service Commission, replacing them with highly qualified and learned individuals. As such, meritocracy now becomes the mainstay in recruitment.
CM Reddy pointed out the past mismanagement, which included the absence of Vice Chancellor appointments for over a decade and repeated incidents of leaked question papers. On the other hand, the present government has initiated reforms to revive the education and healthcare sectors, which is a significant step forward for Telangana’s youth.

Welfare Initiatives for the Public
CM Reddy cited several public welfare measures that have brought real benefits to the people of Telangana. For instance, he claimed that 1.15 crore women benefited from free RTC bus travel. Similarly, 200 units of free electricity were provided to 50 lakh families, which relieved the burden of household expenditure.
To aid the agricultural community, amount of loan waiver ₹21,000 crores were sanctioned to 25 lakh farmers and therefore it was a prime relief measure in agriculture. Besides this bonus on paddy by ₹500 for both the landlord as well as tenant farmers will directly contribute benefits in agriculture, therefore, livelihood among the people improves apart from state’s food security.
Agenda of Change: Telangana
CM Revanth Reddy appealed to the public to reject false propaganda and support the developmental agendas of the government. He condemned the opposition parties for holding back progress with self-serving agendas. On this hand, he assured the people that his government would not hold its concerns back.
Going ahead, he promised to maintain governance on employment, health, and public welfare. CM Reddy has brought Telangana into an age of transformation in the name of accountability, inclusiveness, and sustainable growth under his leadership.
Health Festival and all recent activities demonstrate how seriously the government is willing to work to make a more progressive Telangana.
