Satya Nadella Commits to Telangana’s Vision
Microsoft Corporation President Satya Nadella expressed his company’s commitment to supporting Telangana’s government initiatives. During a meeting with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy in Hyderabad, Nadella praised the state’s focus on skill development and infrastructure enhancement. He highlighted that these efforts could propel Hyderabad into the top 50 cities globally in terms of economic growth and technological innovation.
Boosting Employment and Infrastructure
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy acknowledged Microsoft’s role as a pioneer in Hyderabad’s tech ecosystem. He noted that the company currently employs 10,000 people in the city. Revanth Reddy also thanked Nadella for Microsoft’s increased investments in Telangana, including a substantial 600-megawatt (MW) data center project.
The Chief Minister outlined the state’s ongoing initiatives, such as the development of Regional Ring Roads, Radial Roads, and Future City projects. He emphasized these efforts aim to enhance connectivity and establish Hyderabad as a global technology leader. Institutions like Young India Skill University are also being developed to address the growing demand for skilled talent.

Revanth Reddy urged Microsoft to support Telangana in creating a comprehensive technological ecosystem focusing on artificial intelligence (AI), generative AI (Gen AI), and cloud computing. These initiatives align with the state’s vision to transform Hyderabad into a global tech hub.

The meeting also included Telangana’s IT Minister Sridharbabu, State Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy, Principal Secretary Shanthi Kumari, IT and Industries Special Secretary Jayesh Ranjan, and Chief Minister’s Special Secretary Ajith Reddy. The collaborative dialogue underscored the government’s proactive approach in partnering with industry leaders to drive development.
